Sisters | Long Island Family Photographer | Lisa Viox Photography

These two little girls were so adorable, but the session did start off a little rough, big sister did not want to wear jeans, she only wanted to wear a dress and it had to match her purple toe nails! So adorable, I love a little girly girl ….. since mine is so not, if anything she would of been arguing with me about putting a dress on! 🙂 I hope you all enjoy your sneak peek:

Just them | Long Island Family Photographer | Lisa Viox Photography

Just them, being them …… hanging out on their bean bag, ipads in hand, and all dressed in their swim shirts because they were just “playing Florida” …. This is how I will remember, this age, these faces, these giggles and smiles ….. This is what I get to wake up to every morning …. how special is that! So here is a simple share, no props, no backdrops, just them …. being them …

“All The Ways I Love You”
“I love you quicker than a minute.
I love you longer than an hour.
I love you like the honey bee
loves buzzing round a flower.
I love you stronger than the wind
I love you softer than a cloud
I love you when you are quiet
And I love you when you are loud.
I love you closer than your shadow
I love you further than the sun.
I love you, too, when raindrops fall
by one
by one
I love you round and round the world.
I love you through and through.
And when it seems impossible
To love you more….
I do …..

Snow, snow and more snow | Long Island Childrens Photographer | Lisa Viox Photography

Soooo yet another snow storm ….. this time only a few inches, but it was heavy wet snow and it looked so pretty on the trees so I made Hailey come and model for me and I promised her warm chicken noodle soup afterwards! She was a sport but only lasted a few minutes, it was really windy and wet and cold ….. when we got home Jag wanted to participate so we went out front, I only got a few of him before they started having a snow ball fight and chasing each other ….. I will edit those photos at some point … 😉

White Fields
Author: James Stephens
In the wintertime we go
Walking in the fields of snow;
Where there is no grass at all;
Where the top of every wall,
Every fence and every tree,
Is as white as white can be.
Pointing out the way we came,
Every one of them the same.
All across the field there be
Prints in silver filigree;
And our mothers always know,
By the footprints in the snow,
Where it is the children go

Little Bear | Long Island Newborn Photographer | Lisa Viox Photography

This little guy was pure perfection …. so tiny and squishy and so bendy, he wanted to stay in a little ball the whole time, and at just 5 days old he slept like a baby .. 🙂 I think 5-6 days old is the perfect timing for newborn photos ….. take a look for yourself…. J&S I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek, it was a pleasure meeting you all:

A wee bit of heaven
Author: Helen Steiner Rice
A wee bit of heaven
drifted down from above-
A handful of happiness,
a heart full of love.

The mystery of life,
so sacred and sweet-
The giver of joy
so deep and complete.

Precious and priceless,
so lovable, too-
The world’s sweetest miracle,
baby, is you.

Have you ever seen a cuter little bear!??? Really ……

I love how big sister is still a little unsure about touching her baby brother, just a little pat will do …. so adorable …

My beautiful and oh so strong daughter | Long Island Childrens Photographer | Lisa Viox Photography

Wow, this is my hardest post to date … as I sit here fighting back the tears thinking about my beautiful daughter, who is the strongest and most special little girl you will ever meet in your life. She has a sparkle in her eyes that light up a room, she is the brightest little thing and is the greatest sister and daughter, so compasionate and loving. I dont talk about it very often because for us it is just our day to day life, but my daughter has Type 1 Juvenille Diabetes, she was diagnosed at 17 months. I dont want this post to be all about that because quite honestly she is sooo much more than this awful disease. She doesnt ever let it get her down, it is part of her life and we try to embrace it rather than sit around and sulk about it. We test her blood sugar every few hours, even at night, she watches and counts carbs on everything she eats, she has an insulin pump that at 6 yrs old she knows how to use all on her own …. honestly this little girl is as special as they come ….. She doesnt let it stop her and either do my husband or I. Of course there have been a few times where she will turn to me in confidence and say “Mom, I wish I didnt have diabetes.” Ugh, how i wish that for you my sweet girl, I would do anything to take this away. So this post is to honor her and her spirit and just how special she is …… she will forever be my best friend and my strength. And I will promise her with all my being that we will never let this disease get us down. So here is a little bit of my sweet Hailey girl … my little Rose …. I hope you all enjoy these and can feel her spirit and sweetness in these photos …..

Beautiful daughter
A precious little flower
that is in constant bloom
I watch as yet another milestone
around the corner looms.
It seems like only yesterday
that we shared a breath
but now it seems like tomorrow
you will leave and I’ll be left.
A tiny little angel
that always is in flight
as soon as you came into my life
you brought me so much light.
Your beauty is so stunning
your smile makes me melt
I’m so proud to be your mommy
It’s the best I’ve ever felt.
Oh perfect little princess
with you I’m so in love
every night before I dream
I thank the lord above.
How did I get so lucky
to have as sweet of a gift as you
If ever you should need me
there’s nothing I wouldn’t do.

Little Sweetie | Long Island Newborn and Family Photographer | Lisa Viox Photography

This little ball of sweetness was just around 3 weeks old and gave me a run for sure ….. he did finally fall asleep and we got some really great shots, including the family and mom shots …… His big brother was very hesitant to get to close, it was very adorable ….. A – I hope you love these, it was such a pleasure working with you again …..

Within your heart
Keep one still, secret spot
Where dreams may go,
And sheltered so,
May thrive and grow–
Where doubt and fear are not.
Oh, keep a place apart
Within your heart,
For little dreams to go.

What Are Little Boys Made Of?

Hopes and Dreams
Mischief and Laughs
Climbing up Trees

What are the best men made of?

Hugs and kisses
Cuddles and Joy
Patience and kindness
Will make a man from this boy

We wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day | Long Island Childrens Photographer | Lisa Viox Photography

Just wishing you all a happy Valentines Day …. enjoy, your loved ones today.

Here is one of my fav songs – reminds me of when the twins were born, I sang this song to them all the time:

Sweet Child O’ Mine lyrics
Songwriters: Adler, Steven; Hudson, Saul; Mckagan, Michael; Rose, Axl; Stradlin, Izzy;

She’s got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky

Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I stare too long, I’d probably break down and cry

Whoa, oh, oh, sweet child o’ mine
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, sweet love of mine

She’s got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I’d hate to look into those eyes and see an ounce of pain

Her hair reminds me of a warm, safe place
Where as a child I’d hide
And pray for the thunder and the rain to quietly pass me by

Whoa, oh, oh, sweet child o’ mine
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, sweet love of mine

Some fun photos of the kids for v-day:

7 Months | Long Island Baby Photographer | Lisa Viox Photography

I can not believe how fast these months are going by, my sweet angel is already 7 months old. And he amazes me everyday with his curiosity , and his smiles and just him being him, I can already see how different his personality is from J&H …. its amazing.

In my son’s eyes
by – Martina McBride
In my son’s eyes, I am a hero.
I am strong an’ wise,
And I know no fear.
But the truth is plain to see:
He was sent to rescue me,
I see who I want to be, in my son’s eyes.

In my son’s eyes, everyone is equal,
Darkness turns to light,
And the world is at peace.
This miracle God gave to me,
Gives me strength when I am weak.
I find reason to believe, in my son’s eyes.

And when he wraps his hand around my finger,
Oh, it puts a smile in my heart.
Everything becomes a little clearer.
I realize what life is all about.
It’s hanging on when your heart has had enough;
It’s giving more when you feel like giving up.
I’ve seen the light: it’s in my son’s eyes.

In my son’s eyes, I can see the future.
A reflection of who I am,
And what will be.
And though he’ll grow and, some day, leave:
Maybe raise a family,
When I’m gone, I hope you’ll see,
How happy he made me,
For I’ll be there, in my son’s eyes.

MOM | Long Island Family Photographer | Lisa Viox Photography

Soooo, I have been in business for almost 2 years now and I have not had a photoshoot with my mom in it, so this post is very long over due. My mom has always supported me with anything I have set my mind to, especially this business, she is the one I turn to when I need guidance, or a shoulder, she is the one I call when I need a babysitter, she is really the only person I can count on to always be there for me and my children. She loves them more than words can describe, she spoils them rotten and is there for them ALWAYS! She is more than I can ask for in a mom and a grandmother for my children. She has a special relationship with J&H, they are with her at least once a week for the entire day, doing parks, dinner, sleep overs, making cookies, painting, all those fun things that I feel I never really had with either of my grandmothers. I think my children are so blessed to have her in their lives, as am I. So this post is for you mom, to thank you for all the times that I just dont say it.

I have decided that with each post I am also going to try to post an ispirational poem …. author is unkown on this one:
Before I was myself you made me, me
With love and patience, discipline and tears,
Then bit by bit stepped back to set me free,
Allowing me to sail upon my sea,
Though well within the headlands of your fears.
Before I was myself you made me, me

With dreams enough of what I was to be
And hopes that would be sculpted by the years,
Then bit by bit stepped back to set me free,

Relinquishing your powers gradually
To let me shape myself among my peers.
Before I was myself you made me, me,

And being good and wise, you gracefully
As dancers when the last sweet cadence nears
Bit by bit stepped back to set me free.

For love inspires learning naturally:
The mind assents to what the heart reveres.
And so it was through love you made me, me
By slowly stepping back to set me free.

And of course here are some of the photos from her session with the kids , I wanted to try and capture her love for them:
